Who We Are

The TAP Project is a group of tenured, talented and committed individuals who share a passion for brands, products, customer experience and working together! We are a team of accomplished executives from the beauty and banking industry.

Each member has an average of 20 years’ experience, a proven record of success, specializing in serving market leaders and brand development across multiple channels of distribution with expertise in Planning, Sales Leadership, Building High Performance Teams, Education and Customer Experience.

Edward Fox

General Management

A career that began as a Selling Specialist for the Aramis Division of Estee Lauder, transformed into leading change, managing complexity, driving market share and profit growth across multi-brand portfolios. Ed worked 26 years in the Luxury Division Of L’Oréal serving Designer, Generalist, and Apothecary brands: Ralph Lauren, Lancôme, Kiehl’s, Yves Saint Laurent, Giorgio Armani, Maison Margiela, Valentino and Viktor & Rolf, across fragrances, skincare and makeup. A tenure that included leading in roles as Senior Vice President of Marketing, Senior Vice President of Sales, and General Manager. Ed is a Maxwell Leadership Certified Team Member as a Coach, Speaker and Trainer, most recently serving in the Dominican Republic in November 2021.

Marni Sherman

Operations/Planning

Marni began her career in advertising sales for WWD. Starting out with Lancaster Group/ Coty then Gucci Group and L’Oréal, she discovered her passion for the business, products, people and problem solving. Marni has 25 years of leadership experience in the beauty industry in Sales, Operations, Supply Chain and Customer Service. Marni has managed complex and diverse portfolios, most recently with L’Oréal where the division grew from < $400M to almost $1B in retail sales. During her tenure with the group, Marni led a high-performance team and fostered strong collaboration a in matrixed cross functional environment. Her strategic approach is focused on increasing efficiency, driving ROI and setting KPI’s towards measurement of growth. Marni leads with passion, commitment and integrity.

Douglas Abraham

Business Development

Douglas began his career in specialty retail management where he developed a passion for people, luxury products and elevated group performance. Before devoting his work to the TAP Project, Douglas was the VP, National Retail Strategy for International Designer Collections at L’Oreal LUXE, where he leveraged a luxury portfolio of brands and developed specialized expertise and talent of a high-performing transversal sales group. Through internal collaboration, retailer activations and strategic portfolio management, he developed a $1.0B business in the US Market, delivering growth and market share gains for premier brands such as Giorgio Armani, Maison Margiela, Ralph Lauren, Valentino, Viktor & Rolf and Yves St. Laurent. Douglas has 30 years of leadership experience in the specialty retail, beauty and fragrance sector. He has created and mentored best in class teams through engagement and empowerment while developing first to market experiential brand animations with unique client journeys. With specialties in organizational design, portfolio management and sales leadership, he is inspired by unlocking the talent of teams to create importance and recognition for brands and people.

Joseph Nestor

Operations

For a large part of his career, Joe worked as a Senior Financial Services Executive at many of the world’s leading banks, including Citibank, JP Morgan Chase and BNY Mellon. During his tenor, Joe gained invaluable experience running global operations and leading strategic programs across innovation, finance, and technology. Joe effectively managed global functions and initiatives within large and matrixed organizations, with a focus on strengthening the clients’ profiles and capabilities. After spending years working as a Banker, Joe decided to take the plunge and start his own consulting business. Coincidentally, his first assignment was banking related but inside the healthcare industry – he quickly discovered how transferable his skills were. Since that first assignment, Joe has managed to dip his feet into a presidential campaign, an engagement with an IT firm, and a small startup. Most recently, Joe joined the TAP project, as a newcomer to the beauty industry. Joe provides an alternate viewpoint on how companies can perform, transform and grow.

Leslie Samara

Education/E Learning

Known for contagious enthusiasm, passion for people development, gold-standard presentation, facilitation skills, and instructional design., Leslie’s resume includes development of leaders at companies including Remy Cointreau, L’Oréal, Elizabeth Arden, Tory Burch, Christian Louboutin, Yves Saint Laurent, and Laura Mercier. She is a leading expert in designing mobile-first modules to build personal learning experiences that drive productivity and engagement rates. A certified Human Behavior Consultant and a Master Trainer of the DISC Model of Human Behavior, Leslie provides clients with unique and important “how-to” insights that can be leveraged for hiring, building effective teams, developing leadership, and creating education programs to deliver growth and sales results. Leslie has been a featured speaker with Alliance, SEI Studios, Network 21, E-Finity and L’Oréal. Leslie founded the Cornerstone Education Group, a progressive leader in sales enablement through customized learning experiences.

Vita Giordano

Business Strategy

A journey that began 32 years ago, Vita Giordano joined L’Oreal and dedicated her entire career to the people she touched at L’Oreal USA. Prior to joining the TAP Project, Vita was the Group Vice President of Human Resources for the west coast brands. In her most recent role, Vita led the Human Resources Strategy for the West Coast brands and built a blueprint inclusive of learning opportunities and career pathing to nurture and develop our talent. Vita also led in the creation of a second headquarters for L’Oreal USA in El Segundo, CA – The First Strategic Beauty Company Headquarters on the West Coast.
Vita is known for her dedication, integrity, and warm-hearted nature. She is a compassionate leader focused on developing others so they can perform at their best. Throughout her career, she has made tremendous contributions, quickly moving through the ranks within the L’Oréal USA HR organization.
She has proven results in connecting human capital with business value and employee experience. Vita brings a wealth of expertise in talent acquisition and retention strategies with particular strengths in areas such as recruitment selection through identification of talent, succession planning, executive development, and team engagement.

Scott Brittingham

Leadership/Talent

With 27 years experience in Human Resources Management at L’Oréal USA, and Unilever, Scott’s held positions of increasing responsibility as a HR Generalist with a focus on talent growth and development. Scott spent 17 years with L’Oréal USA, working in both the Professional and Luxe Divisions. A Group Vice President of the Professional Products Division, Scott led over 4,500 employees and a direct H.R. team of 30 individuals. Scott played a significant role in L’Oréal’s cultural transformation project, additionally, coaching senior executives on leadership and change management initiatives. At the end of 2017, he retired from L’Oréal USA to leverage his diverse experience, innate human compassion, and entrepreneurial spirit starting his own business as a professional executive and team coach. Scott has worked with such companies as, Fox Entertainment, Conde Nast, L’Oréal USA, Entertainment One, Boston Medical Group, TULA Skincare & Aflac.
